G20 meeting under the South African leadership scheduled during the High-level week of the GA 80th Session. The role of the G20 in creating the foundation for global economic stability, a vital catalyst for economic development and implementing consequential global commitments such as the Pact for the Future and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (Agenda 2030) cannot be overstated. South Africa will hold the G20 Presidency from 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2025, only five years before the deadline of the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda. To tackle the global polycrisis, South Africa has embraced the theme " Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability " for its G20 Presidency.
