The Forum brings together local, regional, and national governments, alongside United Nations leadership and key stakeholders, in a high-level, action-oriented dialogue focused on accelerating SDG delivery. The 2026 Local and Regional Governments Forum (LRGF) stands as a key political space of the self-organized constituency of LRGs within the multilateral system. The Country-led Dialogues aim to: create space for INFF-implementing countries and Member States to share feedback on INFF implementation and progress on Sevilla commitments; and allow INFF partners and the INFF Facility to update on how they are responding to country demand and priority requests going forward. No performance or film screening is planned. The event is part of the follow-up to the Sevilla Commitment (FfD4) and supports the mandate to scale up country support on Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs). The INFF Facility is currently the only global mechanism providing coordinated, direct support to countries on INFF implementation. The dialogue links to the FfD Forum, the implementation of FfD4 outcomes, and the launch of a scaled-up INFF Facility in 2026, of which DESA is a founding partner. Fifth session of the Committee on Macroeconomic Policy, Poverty Reduction and Financing for Development will be held from 19 to 21 November 2025 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. This High-level Side Event co-hosted by the peer learning countries Finland, Germany, Guatemala, Indonesia, Nigeria, Thailand and South Africa will shine a spotlight on the remarkable achievements of third-time reporters to this year's HLPF. The countries on the panel wish to share their experiences with ambitious VNR reporting and SDG delivery, and thereby motivate next year's cohort of VNR reporting countries to follow suit. The panel discussion also aims to contribute to the considerations for a framework beyond 2030.
