World Development Information Day

Hybrid press briefing on the Sustainable Development Goals Report 2026, which will be launched by UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed, along with UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua and Acting Director of the Statistics Division in the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs Shantanu Mukherjee. The annual report reviews progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development utilizing the latest available data and estimates assessing progress on each Goal and its associated targets. Prepared by UN DESA in collaboration with more than 50 international and regional organizations, the report aims to serve as a foundational resource by providing the latest data and evidence for developing recommendations and solutions to advance progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. The HLPF will be held from Tuesday, 7 July, to Thursday, 15 July 2026, under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council.
