* The  Fifth session of the Committee on Macroeconomic Policy, Poverty Reduction and Financing for Development will be held from 19 to 21 November 2025 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. The Committee will focus on the three main objectives: (a) to assess prospects for sustaining long-term economic growth, keeping in view the complexities of climate-resilient development and green transition; (b) to appreciate the main contours of the Sevilla Commitment and to understand the role of the ESCAP secretariat in supporting members and associate members in implementing those of its aspects that that are relatively more pertinent for the Asia-Pacific context; and (c) to discuss the work of the Consultative Group on Financing Strategies for the Sustainable Development Goals and the support provided so far by the Macroeconomic Policy and Financing for Development Division to members and associate members.
