SPA Initiative Announcement: Global Hub for Debt Swaps for Development & Debt Pause Clause Alliance - 4th International Conference on Financing for Development FFD4.


This Sevilla Platform for Action announcement will cover two initiatives - Global Hub for Debt Swaps for Development and Debt Pause Clause Alliance.

Global Hub for Debt Swaps for Development: This initiative aims to establish a Global Hub for Debt Swaps to improve the design and implementation of debt swaps, and increase potential for scale up.

The Alliance aims to recognize that contractual debt pause clauses can play a key role in bolstering the financial resilience of developing countries and is endeavoring to encourage uptake by all creditors, across both official and private debt, among other actions.
