At this special side event, co-organized by UN DESA, and the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the UN, the agenda will spotlight China's initiatives and progress in advancing the SDGs, with a special focus on China's "Two-Mountains Theory" national strategy that emphasizes ecological preservation is integral to economic prosperity. The side event will explore China's national strategy for SDG implementation, the role of scientific research and geospatial innovation in driving evidence-based solutions for the SDGs, and a local case study highlighting local innovations and practical applications.
