Strengthening climate and SDG synergies for accelerated momentum toward 2030 (HLPF 2025 Special Event).




Held on 22 July 2025 at UN Headquarters in New York during the High-Level Political Forum, this special event highlights how integrated climate and sustainable development action can drive accelerated progress toward the 2030 Agenda. Building on the outcomes of the Sixth Global Climate and SDG Synergies Conference, the event will feature the launch of three new Thematic Reports focused on: enhancing public health through resilient cities; protecting nature while advancing the SDGs and climate goals; and scaling up access to climate finance and insurance for vulnerable communities.

With participation from governments, the UN system, civil society, and youth, the event will showcase concrete solutions and pathways to make climate-SDG synergies a catalyst for transformation.

The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) will be held in Sevilla, Spain, from 30 June to 3 July 2025. The Conference will bring together global leaders and key stakeholders to accelerate action and partnerships to finance sustainable development and achieve the SDGs. The opening will mark the official launch of the Conference and set the tone for a week of high-level engagement and dialogue.
